About this product

Exceptional performance in compact enclosures at medium power levels. W3v3 subwoofers deliver outstanding results in medium power applications without needing a large enclosure. This latest generation of W3 subwoofers incorporates advanced technology initially developed for our flagship W7 models. The DMA-optimized motor system allows for extended, linear excursion with minimal distortion and enhanced output, while several patented technologies improve both performance and durability. These innovations make the W3 series our best-sounding and most reliable yet. The subwoofers feature a mineral-filled polypropylene cone with a metallic JL Audio medallion, offering a sleek, sophisticated appearance. A removable, customizable mounting flange trim ring accommodates grille-mesh inserts (sold separately) directly, eliminating the need for additional grille hardware.

Installation tips

• Match the sub's impedance and voice-coil wiring to your amplifier's stable load.
• Use the enclosure volume the manufacturer recommends — box size changes the bass more than anything else.
• Set the amp's low-pass filter around 80 Hz and use the subsonic filter to protect the driver.
• Run a properly sized power and ground wire and secure the box so it can't move while driving.
